Purchase Ledger Supervisor

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £21,000 – £21,500


Our client is looking for Purchase Ledger champion to lead their team of 3 Purchase Ledger Clerks at their head office in Nottingham City Centre.


Duties / Responsibilities:


·         Maintain the posting of purchase invoices to the ledger, through matching delivery notes and price checking as determined by the Purchase Ledger Supervisor

·         Staff supervision and allocation of duties / rota

·         Compile weekly payment run together with associated remittance advices

·         Dealing with supplier queries as they arise on a daily basis

·         Optimising the efficiency and performance of the Purchase ledger through active administrative support

·         Nominal code invoices using excel

·         Assistance as required in the reconciliation of supplier statements on a monthly basis

·         Assistance as required in the processing of incoming post on a daily basis and to provide cover for reception

·         Development of new systems and work practices with Management Accountant

·         Maintain accurate records and identify sources of errors in conjunction with accounts department


Skills / Experience:


·         Previous experience of working within a busy Purchase Ledger team

·         Good with Excel

·         Excellent communications skills

·         Experience of supervising other members of the team
